STS – Smart Transition System
STS is Vista Animations new internal AO system designed to improve how stand animations connect to each other. The system continuously tracks the current Base Pose and the next one, and automatically applies the correct transition between them. This ensures smooth, natural stand changes without abrupt jumps or visual breaks.
- Base Pose aware logic: The AO detects the active Base Pose and the upcoming one before switching stands.
- Automatic transitions: When a Base Pose change is required, the corresponding transition is applied internally.
- Seamless stand flow: Stands belonging to the same Base Pose play without unnecessary transitions.
- Consistent turns and posture: Turning animations remain aligned with the current Base Pose for visual stability.
- Playback control: Playback Presets define how often Base Poses change, shaping the overall movement style.
- Animation preloading: A dedicated preload option loads all animations into cache for instant playback and maximum fluidity.
- Scalable architecture: The Base Pose system is built to support future animations and expansions.
Base Pose System
Base Poses define the core leg and body positions of your avatar. Each Base Pose acts as a stable foundation for multiple stands, ensuring that all related animations share the same starting posture.
By grouping stands under a common Base Pose, the AO can manage animation flow more intelligently, resulting in consistent posture, improved realism, and smoother transitions between movements.
Automatic Transitions
All transitions between stands and turns are handled automatically by the AO. When switching between different Base Poses, the system smoothly blends movements internally.
This eliminates abrupt jumps or unnatural posture changes, creating a clean, fluid, and visually coherent animation experience.
Preload Animations
A new Preload Animations button is available in the Settings menu. When activated, the AO loads all animations in advance and stores them in cache.
This ensures instant stand changes and seamless transitions, delivering a smoother, faster, and more responsive AO experience—especially after login or region changes.
Playback Presets
The HUD offers five playback modes to control how stands are played and how Base Pose changes occur:
- Lively: Changes Base Pose every 30 seconds. Fast and dynamic motion.
- Medium: Changes Base Pose every 60 seconds. Balanced speed and variation.
- Calm: Changes Base Pose every 2 minutes. Slow and subtle motion for minimal movement.
- Fixed BP: Loops a single Base Pose continuously. Internal stand transitions still occur, but Base Pose does not change.
- Sequence Mode: Plays stands exactly in the order they appear in the notecard. Base Pose changes occur according to the listed sequence.
